Brown Seed Genetics (BSG) was using QuickBooks for a long time to manage their finances but it lacked the tools they needed to grow. Then they turned to SAGE for nearly 3 years without success. After a few demonstrations, the Executive Team at BSG decided to migrate to Proceed ERP Software because the solution delivers everything they need in a software program for the Seed Production Industry. Now the company has a solid Financial System, integrated Inventory Management, Lot Management and Tracking, a dynamic Seed Conditioning Management Program and the ability to print tags right of the ERP Program ensuring accuracy. The Proceed solution provides the traditional ERP Software Program through a secure remote desktop app, a web-based interface for employees to collaborate and mobile applications designed to help inventory management very easy. Day-to-day, every employee has access to the information they need and a streamlined process!

The staff at Brown Seed Genetics worked directly with the Proceed ERP Implementation Team to achieve success with the project. This approach ensured the transition to Proceed ERP Software was done accurately and as fast as possible. Members of the Team included: Business Managers, CPAs, Data Analysts and Administrators, Online Trainers and Project Managers. Within Six (6) weeks BSG was up and running on Proceed ERP Software with a correct balance sheet and income statement. Customers, Vendors, Items and Lot Numbers were easily imported. Items such as Hybrid Seed, Finished Seed, Raw Seed and Treatments were all inventoried accurately allowing the company to operate more efficiently than ever before.

BSG was able to take advantage of specialized fields and features that are unique to the Seed Production Industry and allowed BSG to easily store and retrieve data to meet Federal Seed Act guidelines. Additional features they were able to use includes: 1) Easy Lot Management and Lot History Tracking. 2) Work Order Management for customized Seed Conditioning. 3) Easy bar code based inventory management with ERP, Web and Mobile App access. 4) Specialized Seed fields and programs allow you to keep accurate data and print tags right out of the software. 5) Specialized industry specific reports to track traits, GPO, Inventory by Lot, etc. 6) Multiple Warehouse capability.
